Keeping Washington Families Together Bus Tour
En Español
In 2013, the time has never been so ripe for real comprehensive immigration reform to happen in America that keeps families together. But we can’t sit back and expect our elected leaders to get it right. That’s not how we do.
We need to keep sharing our stories and keep the heat on in order to keep our families together. And one way to do that is to hit the road.
In March, OneAmerica – in partnership with the Alliance 4 Citizenship (A4C) and immigrant communities all over the country – took our Keeping Families Together Campaign on tour across Washington, through your neighborhood, and to the offices of our Members of Congress.
Meet some of the courageous bus riders who traveled across Washington!
The Keeping Washington Families Together Bus Tour for Immigration Reform included families who could be torn apart under our broken immigration system and young people who could face a brighter future with sensible reform.
We had a dialogue with our state’s Congressional delegation and asked for their commitment to support immigration reform that would keep families together and positively affect the lives of students and families in Washington State.
