SEATTLE - Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano held a closed-door session with representatives of various industries and advocacy groups impacted by immigration.

Monday's meeting was part of the Napolitano's attempts to overhaul the nation's immigration system. The meeting was the first of its kind. It included immigrant advocates, labor unions, state officials, law enforcement officers, business leaders and farm working representatives among others.

People who attended the meeting say Napolitano was looking for new ideas and feedback on immigration reform, a key issue for President Barack Obama.

Pramila Jayapal, executive director of OneAmerica, a Seattle-based immigrant advocate group, says she voiced concerns about due process and enforcement, but that Napolitano is clearly engaging in the discussion about immigration.
