OneAmerica’s South King County leaders will lobby legislators to make Washington State a leader in passing a progressive, pro-immigrant agenda that supports our communities. Our legislative priorities are:

1. Pass bilingual education legislation to increase dual and heritage/indigenous language programs that close the opportunity gap and grow our bilingual educator workforce.
2. Pass the Keep Washington Working Act to protect immigrant workers and keep the Washington economy thriving.
3. Maintain funding for the Washington New Americans Program to support citizenship, invest in a legal defense fund and allocate funding for census 2020 outreach.
4. Support a fair, progressive revenue package to balance our tax code do it meets the needs of Washington’s communities and improves equity and economic mobility for everyone.
