On September 19, immigrant, labor, and civil rights activists and elected officials held a rally and called on Governor Bob Ferguson to use his executive power to stop the federal government from accessing our private data for immigration purposes.

PRESS STATEMENT: Governor Ferguson’s Oversight over Data Sharing Puts Washingtonians Safety at Risk

Washington state has confirmed that data of Washingtonians from the Department of Licensing has been used by federal agencies to share information with ICE for the purposes of federal immigration enforcement. We are appalled at this clear lack of oversight and call on Governor Ferguson to work proactively to ensure all Washingtonians are safe and protected.
